San Francisco travel literature and lecture series

 "The world is a book
and those who do not travel
read only a page."
-Saint Augustine

Founded by Tara Russell of Three Month Visa Coaching and Consulting in partnership with Books Inc., this is an exciting book club and lecture series for seasoned globetrotters and armchair travelers alike! We will feature books and speakers to inspire you if you are currently dreaming of "hitting the road" as well as provide useful resources for planning and realizing that trip of a lifetime.  Our selections will cover a diverse range of travel-related topics including long-term solo backpacking, "volunteer vacations", traveling with children and living or working abroad.

Featured speakers have included Rolf Potts (Author of Vagabonding: The Uncommon Art of Long-term World Travel) and Stephanie Elizondo Griest (Author of Around the Bloc: My Life in Moscow, Beijing and Havana)

Book Club meetings are generally held on the first Wednesday of every month.  Lecture Series events will be scheduled according to speakers' availability.
